"Mortlach 1978. Established in 1823 as the original Dufftown distillery, Mortlach's later expansion led to the use of a complex form of triple destination which endures today. To enjoy this rare cask-strength 20 year old single malt at its best, measure one part whisky to two parts still water at room temperature. Any slight cloudiness is normal in an unfiltered cask-strength malt. On tasting, a pale amber colour and citrus fruits on the norse lead into the firm-bodied, smooth rounded flavour of a much loved Speyside malt, intriguingly less sherried than usual, which finishes long and smoky-dry."
