It is the 258th iteration of Lanson’s signature non‑vintage blend, celebrated for its artful complexity—offering toasty, nutty notes intertwined with rich pear, peach, and a dash of lemony brightness, culminating in a vivid and elegant finish.
What makes the House of Lanson so remarkable?
Founded in 1760, Lanson is among the oldest Champagne Houses, renowned for its fresh, fruit‑driven style, anchored in non‑malolactic fermentation, a deep library of reserve wines, exceptional vineyard sourcing, and a heritage of royal patronage.
Based on the 2018 vintage complemented with 32% vins de réserve (from 2008 to 2017), the NV Le Black Création 258 reveals a fruity, elegant bouquet of pear, white peach, lemon oil, spices, pastry and herbs. Moderately weighted, elegant and focused, it's well-balanced with a delicate, fresh mousse and a long, ethereal finish. This blend of 50% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Meunier was disgorged with eight grams per liter dosage: 90 Parker points.
