In 2022, we launched the brand-new series 7EVEN Gods of Fortune, aiming to set a new bar by bringing out one of the coolest Japanese whisky bottlings ever created. 7EVEN Gods of Fortune contains a total of 7 bottlings which will be released from 2022 until 2025.
Since the Middle Ages, the 7 Gods of Fortune have been worshiped in Japan, especially during the new year. Each god generally represents good fortune but also carries certain characteristics and associations.
One of the 7EVEN Gods of Fortune series is Fukurokuju: the god of happiness, wealth and long life. He embodies the pursuit of knowledge and is highly respected by seekers of enlightenment. Fukurokuju's presence brings a sense of tranquility and inspiration in individuals who aspire to attain wisdom and longevity in their lives.
The Fukurokuju Edition is bottled at 61% vol and has an outturn of 188 bottles in total. This whisky has been aged in a 1st fill Bourbon barrel cask number #4577. Distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2024.
The 7EVEN Gods of Fortune series is in cooperation with WARBB; one of the fastest growing digital and NFT designers of our time. His digital art can be defined as colorful, mixed with depth and nature. Robbin Snijders, the person behind WARBB, mentioned: "When I was approached by this wonderful whisky brand I was immediately enthusiastic. Ichiro Akuto, the owner of the Chichibu distillery, is well-known as the rockstar of the Japanese whisky industry. Perhaps the most influential person in Japanese whisky currently, having taken Chichibu and his family's shut-down distillery Hanyu to new heights. Every year Mr. Akuto releases two single casks for Salud BV and Salud GmbH. The 7EVEN Gods of Fortune is a project created by the Salud Holding Group.
