The story starts many years ago. As a youngster, I, (Henrik Krijnen) got interested in wines and whiskies. Not just any wine- and whisky bottles but the rare ones, very well known, belonging to special selections. As you may imagine, I could hardly afford these. I did several studies into wine and whisky, to learn more about the two products and to improve and deepen my knowledge. Family and friends joined my hobby and advised me on the choices I should make. From all over the world I got offers of the best and the finest selections. On travels to Scotland, France, Spain, the USA and Asia (Japan, Taiwan, China and South-Korea), I met many people, who are the masters in their area. That’s why I choose our name ‘World Wine & Whisky’.
My hobby finally became my work. My network increased as well as my personal collection of special fine & rare wines and whiskies. Finally I took the plunge and decided to start a webshop with the help of my family and many good friends, who joined my network. Knowledge is key.
Our webshop www.worldwinewhisky.com has been successfully online since 2017! Thanks to the pleasant collaboration with Winestore ‘De Ware Jacob’, located in the heart of Amsterdam, our customers have the opportunity to pick up their order there.
In December 2024, we have opened our first boutique store in the beautiful and picturesque Laren (Noord-Holland). Our exclusive range will be beautifully displayed here. Laren will become our main store.

We will be able to offer our customers the choice to pick up their order in our new store in Laren or at Winestore ‘De Ware Jacob’ in Amsterdam. Our bottles will only be displayed in our location in Laren. Amsterdam will only be a pick-up location.
You can also choose to have your order sent safely.
