"C'est en 1715 que notre ancêtre Jean Martell originaire de l'Ile de Jersey, s'installa à Cognac et établit la Société qui porte son nom aujourd'hui.
267 ans plus tard, l'Ile de Jersey rend hommage à Jean Martell dans le cadre d'une série philatélique ayant pour thème ses liens avec la France au travers des grands hommes ayant contribué à l'histoire des deux pays.
A notre tour, nous rendons hommage à Jean Martell en éditant une Réserve du Fondateur. Ce cognac exceptionnel, mariage de très rares eaux-de-vie remontant pour certaines à 1906, n'a été édité qu'à 160 bouteilles et ne sera pas renouvelé.
Nous recommandons de conserver cette boueille debout, dans un endroit frais; ainsi, une fois ouverte, n'auront pas disparu et s'épanouiront les éthers très volatiles, qui concourent au merveilleux arôme de ce cognac.
Après plusieurs années, un léger dépôt peut se former dans la bouteille. Provenant du tanin naturel développé par un très long vieillissement en fûts de chêne, ce dépôt n'altère en rien la qualité de ce grand cognac.

"It was in 1715 that our ancestor Jean Martell, originally from Jersey, settled in Cognac and established the Society that bears his name today.
267 years later, the Isle of Jersey pays tribute to Jean Martell as part of a philatelic series on the theme of his ties with France through the great men who have contributed to the history of both countries.
In turn, we pay tribute to Jean Martell by editing a Reserve of the Founder. This exceptional cognac, a marriage of very rare eaux-de-vie dating back to some in 1906, has only been published with 160 bottles and will not be renewed.
We recommend keeping this bottle upright in a cool place; thus, once opened, will not have disappeared and flourish the very volatile ethers, which contribute to the wonderful aroma of this cognac.
After several years, a slight deposit may form in the bottle. From the natural tannin developed by a very long aging in oak barrels, this deposit does not alter the quality of this great cognac.
