Vuurzee is an elegant, sparkling, award-winning brut beer. Brewed with yeast with a sparkling character and hand-picked pinot noir grapes from our own vineyard in the Netherlands. The sparkling yeast gives Vuurzee a fresh, slightly sour character and a fine mousse in the mouth. The light tannins from the grape skin provide a subtle bitterness. The result? The yeast gives Vuurzee a slightly lactic character. In other words, a slightly sour note. The yeast also provides a pleasant mousse and texture in the mouth. In contrast to beer yeast, sparkling wine yeast ensures that you do not sit at the table with a bloated feeling.

Grape variety: Pinot Noir. Hops: Hallertauer Magnum & Cascade. Yeast: Champagne yeast.
In the nose hints of citrus fruits and banana. Vuurzee has a slightly lactic character, is soft and creamy in texture and has pleasant bitters due to the tannins of the Pinot Noir from our own vineyard.

Vinification
5 weeks main fermentation, then at least 4 months bottle fermentation. Maturation at 11 degrees.

Vuurzee champagne beer is perfect as an aperitif or serves as an ideal meal partner for the most diverse dishes. In addition, Vuurzee goes excellently with various delicacies such as caviar, oysters, scallops and cheeses to foie gras, wagyu and ibérico ham.
